Jacuzzi® Alka-Up

Jacuzzi® Alka-Up is a granular product formulated to raise the total alkalinity (TA) of hot tub water. Proper alkalinity levels keep pH stable, protect spa equipment, and ensure a comfortable, irritation-free soak.

Why Total Alkalinity Matters

Maintaining your spa’s total alkalinity in the ideal range (80–120 ppm) is essential for:

Dosage & Application

One capful from the 750 g container ≈ 25 g.
Always circulate water for 30 minutes and re-test before adding more.

Dosing Chart for Jacuzzi® Alka-Up

Use this chart to raise total alkalinity (TA) based on spa volume. Adjust proportionally if your spa is larger or smaller.

Tip: Add in stages. Test between additions to avoid overshooting the target range (80–120 ppm).

Application Steps

1. Test the water: Use LaMotte 3-Way Test Strips to measure alkalinity.
2. Measure: Refer to the chart above for dosage based on your reading.
3. Add: Sprinkle Jacuzzi® Alka-Up evenly across the water surface with the circulation running.
4. Re-test: After 30 to 60 minutes, re-check alkalinity and repeat if needed.
