Jacuzzi® pH Up – Granular pH Increaser

Jacuzzi® pH Up is a fast-dissolving granular product formulated to raise pH and total alkalinity in hot tub and spa water. Maintaining the correct pH range (7.2–7.8) is critical for sanitizer effectiveness, bather comfort, and protecting spa equipment from corrosion or scale buildup. One capful from the 1 kg bottle equals approximately 30 g, making dosing simple and accurate.

Why pH Balance Matters

  • Sanitizer Efficiency: Low pH reduces the effectiveness of chlorine and bromine, leading to cloudy or unsafe water.
  • Bather Comfort: Proper pH prevents skin dryness, eye irritation, and ensures a more pleasant soak.
  • Equipment Protection: Balanced water prevents corrosion of metal parts and scaling on heaters, pumps, and jets.

Dosing Instructions

Always test your spa water before adding chemicals. If pH is below 7.2, add Jacuzzi® pH Up according to the chart below. Broadcast evenly over the water surface with circulation running, then re-test after 60 minutes.

Dosing Chart

One capful ≈ 30 g. Use this chart for spas from 750 L to 2,500 L.

Spa Volume pH 7.0–7.2
(Light Adjust)
pH 6.8–7.0
(Moderate Adjust)
pH < 6.8
(Heavy Adjust)
750 L 8 g (~¼ cap) 12 g (~⅓ cap) 15 g (½ cap)
1000 L 10 g (⅓ cap) 15 g (½ cap) 20 g (⅔ cap)
1500 L 15 g (½ cap) 20 g (⅔ cap) 30 g (1 cap)
2000 L 20 g (⅔ cap) 25 g (~¾ cap) 35 g (1 + ⅙ cap)
2500 L 25 g (~¾ cap) 30 g (1 cap) 40 g (1⅓ cap)

Tip: Add in small increments, allow circulation, and re-test before repeating to avoid overshooting the target range.

Safety Precautions

  • Protective Gear: Wear gloves and eye protection when handling chemicals.
  • Ventilation: Always add chemicals outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
  • Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dry location, away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
